The Montgomery County Maryland School district is still in shock after a 14-year-old high school freshman was dragged into a bathroom and violently raped last week. Dr. Jack R. Smith is the superintendent of this district, and instead of offering his condolences or trying to prevent this horrible crime from happening again, he’s doing his own version of damage control.
And by damage control, I mean that he’s attempting to put a muzzle on anyone who might say something to hurt the feelings of the perpetrators of this crime or their families and friends.

The problem here lies in the fact that the persons responsible for committing this crime are illegal immigrants. If this had been a regular football star gone wrong, we would probably be seeing an entirely different narrative. However, since it’s an illegal, a criminal adult, who was willingly put in a class with a bunch of minor citizens, it’s demanded that we have compassion for the perpetrator.
I would like to say that the violent crime committed was the height of perversion in this situation, but it seems like the more insane actions are being carried out by the person in charge of the care of students. Yes, the crime is horrible, and yes the criminals should be locked up, which is very straightforward. What is unbelievable is that the one man in charge of every child in the county’s school system is not only defending his actions that put this girl in harm’s way, he’s berating anyone who would question him.
I’m pretty confident that this comes close to the definition of criminal negligence. I wonder how he would feel if he were beat to a pulp by gang members one day while walking back to his car, and the authorities who arrived on the scene informed him that it was awful of him to describe his attackers in any way. That they would NOT be going after the gang, just because he said that’s who attacked him. He was probably profiling because he’s not in a gang, and he’s intolerant of groups of lawbreakers. How dare he get on his high horse about people beating him up, doesn’t he know that this is how they express themselves?
Yeah, that’s what this is like, only worse. I hope the citizens of Montgomery County are able to do something about the monsters among them. Both the illegals and those running the schools.
