Obama’s Iran deal is an infamous piece of policy that no one particularly liked. Everything about it smelled of a fishy outcome: giving Iran more freedom even though they say America is “the great satan,” a clearer path to nukes, and not to mention the $400 million in taxpayer money that was just handed to them for ransom for American lives.
Iran is a crackpot nation that hates us. Doing business with them was Obama’s MO and it was as anti-American as you can get. So now that he’s no longer in power and we can get to making America and the world a safer place again, it’s time to get rid of this crummy deal.
And guess what, even the Democrats don’t want it.
Iran would face tighter U.S. sanctions over its ballistic missile launches and other non-nuclear activities under a bill introduced on Thursday by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators including senior members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
The bill, which has 14 Democratic and Republican sponsors, would set mandatory sanctions for anyone involved with Iran’s ballistic missile program and those who trade with them.
It also would apply sanctions to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and put into law sanctions imposed via presidential executive order on individuals currently sanctioned due to what the bill’s sponsors describe as Iranian support for terrorism.
The bill would also require the president to block the property of any person or entity involved in specific activities that violate the U.N. arms embargo on Iran.
It’s official: Obama’s Iran love fest is over. Who can’t wait until this goes into effect?
