In the wake of President Trump’s concise and well-deserved retaliation to the chemical warfare that Syria has waged on its own people, there have been a lot of questions about why Syria even had these weapons in the first place, and why we didn’t know about it.
During the illustrious former President Obama’s administration, we were all assured that Syria had been relieved of all it’s chemical weapons and there was nothing to be worried about on that front. This came from not only President Obama but everyone’s new favorite National Security Advisor, Susan Rice. Now, apparently, that was never the whole story.
Opinion Editor Seth Mandel released this quote is from former Obama State Department official Antony Blinken in Sunday’s New York Times:

How is that ok? Here’s a little more of what was included in the article:
Still, the administration knew all along that it had probably not gotten all of the chemical weapons, and tried to get Russia to help press Syria, without success. “We always knew we had not gotten everything, that the Syrians had not been fully forthcoming in their declaration,” Mr. Blinken said.
Here’s the article in its entirety.

I know that a President has got to do things that we don’t get because we’re not privy to all the information, but this is just an all out lie to get the American people off his back. I don’t know how long it’s going to take before everyone in this country is thoroughly convinced that former President Obama and those he employed were pathological liars.
In case you needed more evidence, it’s not just Blinkin who saw this completely preventable chemical attack coming. Dan Shapiro, who was a member of Obama’s National Security Council had this to say:
12. We always knew Syria likely squirreled away some residual undeclared stocks and/or production capability, now proven by Idlib strike.
— Dan Shapiro (@DanielBShapiro) April 9, 2017
However, he thinks that the lying was all a fantastic idea.
4. But I strongly disagree with those who say Assad's CW attack on Idlib proves that the 2013 CW deal struck by Russia &the US was worthless

So there you have it. They knew, they lied, they’re totally ok with it.
Are you ok with it?
